Speck CandyShell Grip for iPod Touch 4G

Speck, one of the major iPod and iPhone case manufacturer, made the Speck CandyShell Grip with gaming enthusiasts in mind. The case provides better grip and handling by providing rubbery ridges at the back of the case. Playing Angry Birds or Modern Combat just got a little bit comfortable for me. I definitely recommend this case even if you’re not an avid gamer. I think this is also better than the CandyShell shiny version (without the rubber grips)

Speck CandyShell Grip is sold for 1,200 pesos. Click to enlarge the photos.

Android Mini Collectible

Hey it’s Andy! Ever since this has been on sale, every retailer has either no stock or just ran out of stock. Luckily I got a hold of two :) I’m still thinking if I’ll sell the other one but if the price is good I’ll definitely sell! :P

Zune services isn’t going to be axed anytime soon

Contrary to some reports of the Zune demise.  Zune’s Facebook account posted the following update.

Zune Nation, let us give it to you straight: We’re not ‘killing’ any of the Zune services/features in any way. Microsoft remains committed to providing a great music and video experience from Zune on platforms such as Xbox LIVE, Windows-based PCs, Zune devices and Windows Phone 7, as well as integration with Bing and MSN.

If the services will stay alive, obviously because of XBox and Windows Phone 7, what will happen to the Zune hardware devices? There is no impending Zune HD2 on the rumor rill and no expected update on the original Zune HD.

Still there is that rumor that the Zune may be rebranded as a portable XBox device. Whatever they decide to do, I hope people will still have a choice when they buy their portable media device. Without the Zune, it’s iPod all the way.

Nokia and Microsoft Announces Strategic Partnership

At long last, Nokia has awaken from its limbo state and has decided to partner with Microsoft with Windows Phone 7.  Despite their hardware supremacy, Nokia’s weak spot has been their software, Symbian. Bold move by Nokia but a step to the right direction.

Nokia will adopt Windows Phone as its primary smartphone strategy, innovating on top of the platform in areas such as imaging, where Nokia is a market leader.
