The sole itself were very durable, lightweight and comfortable and stood up to a lot of abuse and slippery terrains.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.barefootwearinc.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Vibram Five Fingers&lt;/a&gt; is their newest line of performance footwear that looks and feels like you’re walking barefoot! (Read the the &lt;strong&gt;Benefits of Walking Barefoot&lt;/strong&gt; after the jump) They now have shop in the Philippines so if you’re interested with these unique looking footwear drop by &lt;strong&gt;The Vibram Five Fingers store at Level R1 Bridgeway in PowerPlant Mall, Rockwell.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Benefits of Being Barefoot&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;We have all been born barefoot. A long time ago, people have lived and survived without using protective footwear. But, today, because of technology and the many changes it brought, wearing shoes became an essential part of life. But beyond all the protection and the style shoes provide, we seem to have forgotten the significant benefits and sense of freedom being barefoot brings.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Shoes were first invented thousands of years ago—way back when people used to live in caves. Back then, they used animal hides and leather laces to protect their feet from the rough terrain. Millennia passed and the concept of shoes evolved in countless ways from its design, material, and even its uses. It became a necessity to shod oneself. However, no matter how things change, most people still prefer to do a lot of things barefoot. It is all because being barefoot is very comfortable. But, aside from the unrivaled relaxation being barefoot brings, it also has a considerable number of benefits, not just to the feet, but the body as a whole.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Doing activities barefoot brings a lot of advantages to the body’s flexibility and mobility. It allows people to exercise, stretch, relax, and strengthen muscles they normally don’t get to use when wearing shoes. Barefoot running also corrects the way people run—making them land on the balls of their feet—as compared to wearing rubber shoes which gives the tendency to land on the heels first. Landing on the heels of the feet releases more pressure and shock to legs and knees. Doing things barefoot also improves range of motion in ankles, feet, and toes because of movements that are more natural and free. It also heightens body awareness since the body has the sense of being freer than being shod. Balance and motion agility are also developed because doing things barefoot further stimulates the neurons and nerves that are essential to lower body movement. And because there are no heels to torture the foot heel and the ankle, it enhances natural posture and the alignment of the spine. And, most especially, it is much easier to relax and stretch after a workout if someone is barefoot.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Countless health benefits have been associated with being barefoot. That is why athletes, to attain better health and movement, prefer to do their sports without any footwear on. It is because when barefoot, movements become the movements of a child—playful and sensitive, yet purposeful and confident. A person experiences the unbound joy of stepping, hopping, and running across any surface on earth, simply to get from here to there. This is the reason why a lot of sports enthusiasts prefer to deal with their activities barefoot.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Numerous runners have been hitting the tracks without any shoes on because the benefits of running barefoot have long been supported by scientific research, coaches, and athletes who’ve offered ample evidence that training without shoes allows you to run faster and further with fewer injuries. Motion studies demonstrate that when running barefoot, one naturally lands on the forefoot, directly below the center of gravity. This results in optimum balance, increased stability, less impact, and greater propulsion.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Indeed, undertaking activities barefoot has a lot of benefits and advantages for the body. However, the feet—most especially those of the more active people—need to be protected from the many possibilities of injury. That is why some footwear are developed to mimic the feel and freedom of being barefoot. A good example would be the &lt;b&gt;Vibram Five Fingers&lt;/b&gt; which is a proof that many people prefer to do things barefoot. With a slot for each of the toes, it actually gives all the freedom and feel of wearing no shoes on.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Many other innovations in footwear have been introduced into the market to make our feet as comfortable and relaxed as if barefoot. It is because it takes no genius to agree that—aside from the benefits of going barefoot—the feet has taken the humans a long long way and they deserve a break and the freedom.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;The Vibram Five Fingers store is located at Level R1 Bridgeway in PowerPlant Mall, Rockwell. It may show you actually three red lights and all of them may blink in a certain pattern. The particular patterns actually tell you the error that have occurred, confused? Well, it some kind of decoding the data process. You can actually decode the lights patterns to distinguish the main problem. If you can read out the pattern and decide it to make it useful, you will know the root cause of all the problems… &lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;Patterns of lights are not the only symptoms of the red ring of death. There are many other factors that may help you in determining the actual error and then to go for the &lt;a href="http://www.learnxboxrepair.com/"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Xbox 360 repair&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;There are many indications and problems that occur when there is an error of red ring death with the Xbox 360 gaming console. The indications may include the freezing or crashing of the Xbox 360 after you have used it for a long time, receiving the errors like: &amp;quot;disc unreadable&amp;quot; or any error of this type, awkward sounds from the inside of your Xbox 360 and the malfunctioning of your Xbox 360 so much so that you get unable to play games on it. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Many people actually get confused while decoding the errors from the light patterns. They mistake the error reading like for example when the four red lights blink on the Xbox 360. They think that it is the indication red ring of death. This is wrong, red ring of death actually has only three red lights, the four lights basically indicate the AV cable loosing from its socket. This error can be solved by simply detaching and then attaching the AV cable to the system. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;However, the red ring of death is not something that can be solved so easily. You will have to do a little hard work and will have to keep lots of patience for solving this problem. You may send your Xbox 360 to the Microsoft, but if you do not have the warranty on, then you may do the Xbox 360 repair on your own without spending lot of money. You will be able to get your Xbox back in 2 hours and then you will have a new skill too.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37692209-574317438388977140?l=www.techolo.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.techolo.com/feeds/574317438388977140/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/xbox-360-repair-through-easy-ways.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/574317438388977140'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/574317438388977140'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/xbox-360-repair-through-easy-ways.html' title='Xbox 360 Repair Through Easy Ways'/><author><name>Rom</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00361391250224087874</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='11976916783131782062'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37692209.post-971421677560470857</id><published>2010-08-20T01:46:00.001+08:00</published><updated>2010-08-20T02:02:25.735+08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Hardware'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Microsoft'/><title type='text'>Will it be Microsoft Arc Touch versus Apple Magic Mouse? I think not.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;From the gallery of (stolen?) shots from Russian site &lt;a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&amp;amp;prev=_t&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;amp;layout=1&amp;amp;eotf=1&amp;amp;u=http://winfuture.de/news,57566.html&amp;amp;sl=auto&amp;amp;tl=en" target="_blank"&gt;WinFuture&lt;/a&gt; the mouse will come in a mix of metal, rubbery and plastic black and will a 2.4 Ghz usb radio receiver to connect to your PC. There is no signifying that the broad surface will be a multi-touch surface like the Apple Magic Mouse. From the looks of it, it’s just an ordinary mouse that is ergonomically different.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0px 0px 15px; display: inline" align="right" src="http://a.imageshack.us/img132/9513/magicmousearc.jpg" /&gt;The Arc mouse’s main feature is that it can be shaped to ergonomically fit the users hand. The customizable back spine is still a mystery and how well it performs is still unknown. Unlike the Apple Magic Mouse which I personally have tried and can attest that it is too flat to be used comfortably through out the day, this Arc Mouse looks easy.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I hope that I’m wrong and this Mouse does multi-touch because Windows could use a fresh interactive experience much like what the Magic Mouse did to my OSX experience. With the use of &lt;a href="blog.boastr.net" target="_blank"&gt;BetterTouch Tool&lt;/a&gt; for the Magic Mouse (like Setpoint software) I was able to set numerous actions and “tap” points for the Magic&amp;#160; Mouse. Tapping right could open the Dashboard, Tapping right could activate Expose. Imagine what it could be like on the PC.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Microsoft is well known for good quality hardware so aside from the similar price of $69.99 to the Magic Mouse I think I can’t say that the hardware will be the same. But I hope I’m proven wrong. ( &lt;em&gt;It’s nice to set a low expectation when it comes to Microsoft sometimes :) &lt;/em&gt;Let it compete with the Magic mouse AND Trackpad. With P100,000 in cash prizes, Pixatology is working with the country’s top universities and invites all individuals or teams who are interested in launching their app on the hottest platform of the year.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Participants will also have a chance to: &lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;Win up to P100,000 in cash prizes &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Participate in free, breakthrough sessions to learn how to code powerful iPad applications &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Gain invaluable exposure to the revolutionary iPad (currently not for sale in the Philippines due to global demand) &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Secure an internship or career opportunities with IT companies &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Earn a share of profits for successfully marketed iPad applications on Apple's iTunes &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; More information and PDF flyer after the jump &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;Pixatology recognizes the potential of the Filipino development community to design &lt;br /&gt;creative, unique and engaging applications. The group provides a chance for novice developers access to Apple's software development kit as wells as the tools, education, &lt;br /&gt;experience and marketing support they need to develop and release apps for Apple-based devices like the iPad. Pixatology also acts as an incubator for promising apps and will offer revenue-sharing opportunities and cash advances to developers of outstanding applications.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;quot; As of July 23, Apple is currently shipping iPads in only 19 countries, not including the &lt;br /&gt;Philippines. Despite the limited launch, it took only a single month to sell one million iPads. To put it in perspective, it took 20 months to sell one million iPods. This device is &lt;br /&gt;revolutionizing the mobile computing beyond anyone's expectations,&amp;quot; said Tiger &lt;br /&gt;Bitanga. &amp;quot; We're investing our time and resources to get the word out so Filipino developers can begin carving a niche in the international mobile app development scene.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;From September 15, 2010 to October 16, 2010, Pixatology will be accepting app concept &lt;br /&gt;submissions. Judges from the software development field will review all applications in &lt;br /&gt;adherence to contest criteria. Once approved and during the contest proper, participants will have access to iPads during breakthrough monthly sessions, where they can check out and test their applications with guidance from a panel of experts. Winners will be announced on April 23, 2011.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;object id="_ds_51014334" name="_ds_51014334" width="490" height="550" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://viewer.docstoc.com/"&gt;&lt;param name="FlashVars" value="doc_id=51014334&amp;amp;mem_id=164037&amp;amp;doc_type=pdf&amp;amp;fullscreen=0&amp;amp;allowdownload=1&amp;amp;showrelated=0&amp;amp;showotherdocs=0" /&gt;&lt;param name="movie" value="http://viewer.docstoc.com/" /&gt;&lt;param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /&gt;&lt;param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt;var docstoc_docid="51014334";var docstoc_title="2010 Pixatology iPad App Flyer";var docstoc_urltitle="2010 Pixatology iPad App Flyer";&lt;/script&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript" src="http://i.docstoccdn.com/js/check-flash.js"&gt;&lt;/script&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;font size="1"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.docstoc.com/docs/51014334/2010-Pixatology-iPad-App-Flyer"&gt;2010 Pixatology iPad App Flyer&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37692209-4077099518011640223?l=www.techolo.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.techolo.com/feeds/4077099518011640223/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/pixatology-launches-first-ipad.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/4077099518011640223'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/4077099518011640223'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/pixatology-launches-first-ipad.html' title='Pixatology Launches First iPad Development Contest in Manila'/><author><name>Rom</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00361391250224087874</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='11976916783131782062'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37692209.post-8437712917431282768</id><published>2010-08-16T20:01:00.001+08:00</published><updated>2010-08-16T22:29:15.720+08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Mobile'/><title type='text'>HTC Desire HD launching this September 15</title><content type='html'>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;img src="http://a.imageshack.us/img202/3443/htcseptemberteaser.jpg" width="490" height="270" /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Another HTC Desire HD news.&lt;/strong&gt; The recent invite that HTC has sent for a special event this September 15 in London is a mystery. Read more after the jump.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1p0nXfIvylUGdUOOYmvoyW8bEn8XTym9dp-18P1Zq_KXWWkf-E7VsEe-MRtkm0vkCo9igSkdQuDRGddoXIuc9IXA/ipodnanolcd2.jpg?psid=1" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;As you can see on the photo above, the screen is pretty badly damaged but still usable. I searched a Philippine classified site for new parts but the seller I talked to was somewhat slow (or lazy?) in replying. &lt;strong&gt;So&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;I decided to check out eBay and found &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://myworld.ebay.com/phaetondvip88/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;a seller&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt; that has an LCD part ($7.49) as well as a black (or white) faceplate ($3.99).&lt;/strong&gt; Getting a new faceplate would make sense in my case. I don’t want to end up having to look at a new LCD screen on a heavily scratched casing. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Both orders include free prying tools to open up the iPod Nano. I ordered and waited for a month before getting the items at our local courier. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1ps9nYhCQZxXtII2IGdA8k6aEQ8azH-90U_BKVfPp0bXuBQnNuZ98wlqqBxiDMCj6shDtFqU5Sv7nY2gBlFbyhng/ipodnanolcd3.jpg?psid=1" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Before starting the whole process. I watched some &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3AUwrQeEQI" target="_blank"&gt;Youtube videos on repairing a 1st-gen iPod Nano&lt;/a&gt;. There are also &lt;a href="http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-iPod-Nano-1st-Generation-Battery-Logic-Board/431/1" target="_blank"&gt;photo steps&lt;/a&gt; that helped me save time in figuring out how and what to do. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;From experience, the only hard part is removing the aluminum back plate.&lt;/strong&gt; The plastic prying tools does the job well. I suggest starting at the bottom panel where the usb and 3.5mm port is located. Pry that area first then go along the edges up to the sides (&lt;a href="http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-iPod-Nano-1st-Generation-Battery-Logic-Board/431/1" target="_blank"&gt;as seen on iFixit.com&lt;/a&gt;) By the way, don’t forget to ground yourself first to avoid static charges shorting the transistors.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;After Installing the screen, I closed the iPod Nano and tried starting it, the display would light up and then fade out. I feared that I did something wrong so I opened the device again and double-checked the connections. I also didn’t close everything up and did all the testing while it was open. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The solution that I found out that because I installed a new LCD screen, the iPod Nano did not recognize this new hardware and that I would need to RESET it first.&lt;/strong&gt; I searched and found the answer on how to do that:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;iPod 1G to 3G: &amp;quot;Menu&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Play/Pause&amp;quot; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): &amp;quot;Menu&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Select&amp;quot; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons: &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;iPod 1G to 3G: &amp;quot;REW&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;FFW&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Select&amp;quot; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): &amp;quot;Back&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Select&amp;quot; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p&gt;If you are having the “white screen of death” after replacing your LCD, do the above key combinations to reset your iPod and after rebooting it will work fine.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1ps9nYhCQZxXvfQh1HsXEOg97jZB7QyGcHjSULnRTXEeiQgoR6tdGr1JPgIGQ22UNYcA0LpbeSzc7GkXyYD7nkew/ipodnanolcd4.jpg?psid=1" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Ta-da! Everything looks brand new except the clickwheel and the back plate (which looks awkward). I don’t mind changing the old ones because if it ain’t broke, I don’t want to fix it. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;This DIY project only cost around 520 pesos. I think the price and result was worth it.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37692209-2185677260226329635?l=www.techolo.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.techolo.com/feeds/2185677260226329635/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/installing-new-lcd-and-faceplate-on.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/2185677260226329635'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/2185677260226329635'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/installing-new-lcd-and-faceplate-on.html' title='Installing a new LCD and faceplate on an iPod Nano'/><author><name>Rom</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00361391250224087874</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='11976916783131782062'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37692209.post-7070602610571428404</id><published>2010-08-09T15:14:00.001+08:00</published><updated>2010-08-09T15:24:26.301+08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Hardware'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Mobile'/><title type='text'>HTC Desire HD video</title><content type='html'>&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div style="padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: none; padding-top: 0px" id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:88106472-3661-4773-ba2b-d41be3aecd27" class="wlWriterEditableSmartContent"&gt;&lt;div id="9b6e46c6-7217-42ab-96ab-49bc11e0b91e" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; display: inline;"&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEJoPXmwVAE&amp;amp;rel=0&amp;amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;amp;color2=0xd0d0d0&amp;amp;hl=it_IT&amp;amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;amp;fs=1" target="_new"&gt;&lt;img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_CIylohsh6HI/TF-sAihSDgI/AAAAAAAAAek/KLWmzzJwm-I/videocc55ea87c4a0%5B8%5D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="border-style: none" galleryimg="no" onload="var downlevelDiv = document.getElementById('9b6e46c6-7217-42ab-96ab-49bc11e0b91e'); downlevelDiv.innerHTML = &amp;quot;&amp;lt;div&amp;gt;&amp;lt;object width=\&amp;quot;484\&amp;quot; height=\&amp;quot;404\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;param name=\&amp;quot;movie\&amp;quot; value=\&amp;quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/MEJoPXmwVAE&amp;amp;rel=0&amp;amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;amp;color2=0xd0d0d0&amp;amp;hl=it_IT&amp;amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/param&amp;gt;&amp;lt;embed src=\&amp;quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/MEJoPXmwVAE&amp;amp;rel=0&amp;amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;amp;color2=0xd0d0d0&amp;amp;hl=it_IT&amp;amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en\&amp;quot; type=\&amp;quot;application/x-shockwave-flash\&amp;quot; width=\&amp;quot;484\&amp;quot; height=\&amp;quot;404\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/embed&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/object&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/div&amp;gt;&amp;quot;;" alt=""&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Probably the first video of the HTC Desire HD from &lt;a href="http://www.247android.com" target="_blank"&gt;247android.com&lt;/a&gt;. One codenamed “Vision” will called HTC Desire Z. It will be like the Desire but with a &lt;a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/04/htc-vision-with-android-full-qwerty-in-the-wild/" target="_blank"&gt;full-sliding QWERTY keyboard&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The second variant codenamed “Ace” will be called the Desire HD which has rumored specs of 4.3” WVGA display, Android 2.2, 1Ghz Snapdragon, 8-megapixel camera with 720p video recording and 4GB built in memory all encased in a aluminum unibody design. Those wishing for the hardware beauty of the Legend can now have a premium device in the Desire HD if this is true.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;[via] &lt;a href="http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/34668/htc-desire-hd-desire-z" target="_blank"&gt;Pocket-Lint&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37692209-8466671773665176695?l=www.techolo.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.techolo.com/feeds/8466671773665176695/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/htc-desire-hd-is-coming.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/8466671773665176695'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/8466671773665176695'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/htc-desire-hd-is-coming.html' title='HTC Desire HD is coming?'/><author><name>Rom</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00361391250224087874</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='11976916783131782062'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37692209.post-8850970840482351369</id><published>2010-08-05T03:27:00.001+08:00</published><updated>2010-08-05T03:27:04.101+08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Hardware'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Gadgets'/><title type='text'>10-Port USB Hub: Overkill? This is why I decided to trade in my old 4-port usb hub to this huge &lt;a href="http://cdrking.com/?mod=products&amp;amp;type=view&amp;amp;sid=6792&amp;amp;main=75" target="_blank"&gt;10-port hub from cd-r king&lt;/a&gt;. Now I can just slap every usb thingamajigs to the hub without ejecting a plugged-in usb thumbdrive or pulling out some sync cables first.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Unfortunately another disadvantage of the iMac are the location of the ports. It is located at the back of the system. So its either I stand up or grope at the back of the monitor just to find an available port among the 4 usb ports. So you see, this thing is perfect for me.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pY9w8WxHeSdfi_2JAWciwgxvVA_NxsDkLZy2aGdm-MXFyEmGKqdDB7Fohg5nbkEq7nUWHAMtHR4_NlIx_0ARuSQ/10portusbhub1.jpg?psid=1" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I have been eyeing this 10-port usb hub since I saw it on &lt;a href="http://www.meritline.com/10-ports-usb-hub---p-40830.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;online&lt;/a&gt;. It’s retail price was more than my budget. Luckily the people at cd-r king started importing this exact 10-port hub and is selling them for only 380 pesos. The only difference was that the original package included a power adapter, cdrking’s version sadly did not. I badly needed that to power a couple of 2.5” external drives off the hub itself.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The hub has screw slots at the back if you’d want to hang these over or under a desk. It also has individual indicator lights to indicate an active port. Overall, I’d say this is a good price for a good quality 10-port hub. &lt;strong&gt;Want overkill? Check &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://craziestgadgets.com/2009/05/29/49-port-usb-hub-might-be-overkill/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;out this 49-port hub!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37692209-8850970840482351369?l=www.techolo.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.techolo.com/feeds/8850970840482351369/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/10-port-usb-hub-overkill-not-for-me.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/8850970840482351369'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/37692209/posts/default/8850970840482351369'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.techolo.com/2010/08/10-port-usb-hub-overkill-not-for-me.html' title='10-Port USB Hub: Overkill? &lt;p&gt;Instead of ducking away and including other smart phone vendors allegedly similar problems in &lt;a href="http://www.apple.com/apple-events/july-2010/" target="_blank"&gt;their keynote&lt;/a&gt;, Apple should just admit fault on their “revolutionary” antenna design for the iPhone 4. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;blockquote&gt; &lt;p&gt;Every smartphone has a cellular antenna. And nearly every smartphone can lose signal strength if you hold it in a certain way. To demonstrate this, we tested iPhone 4 alongside other smartphones.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;/blockquote&gt; &lt;p&gt;Apple have dilly dallied with their response regarding public and press complaints on the antenna issue until they decided (pressured?) to just give away free “bumpers” just to provide a temporary band-aid remedy. First they said it can be fixed by a software update, now they are saying it can’t. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I found inconsistencies from the keynote, one of which Jobs says that Apple already knew that holding the phone on the black strip would cause signal degradation and thinking that people won’t mind. And then later on stress that they didn’t know the issue that’s why they didn’t respond outright and decided to collect data first.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;They say they &lt;em&gt;love&lt;/em&gt; us, their &lt;em&gt;customers&lt;/em&gt;. I say, if you love us. Make iDevices OPEN. One step is to allow Flash to be turned on or off by the user and not by you.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I have never experienced any signal problems on any mobile phones I have owned. Mostly Nokia and HTC. The new version addresses the issue on manual exposure shifting when shooting videos. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;blockquote&gt; &lt;p&gt;Fixes a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves unexpectedly when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).&lt;/p&gt; &lt;/blockquote&gt; &lt;p&gt;The Version 1.0.8 firmware is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.7. Info on this tablet touch screen device is scare other than it looks like a large iPod Touch, even has earpiece holes on top, which means, either this photo is a mockup or this tablet can make calls. It will run on either a Windows or Meego1 operating system. No information if Android is supported. This might steal the show for the more affordable WizLib.
