Cinomadist Travel & Urban Work Backpack - REVIEW

The Cinomadist Travel & Urban Work Backpack is a water‑resistant, expandable backpack that goes from about 19 L to 32 L. You can wear it three ways - backpack, shoulder bag, or hand‑carry - so it fits your day whether you’re heading to work or away for the weekend.

This is the first time I have come across this brand and I would say they're a fairly new brand having launched this on Kickstarter just last year.

The backpack is made from 1800D coated polyester with YKK zippers, lays flat at 180° like a small suitcase for easier packing, and includes over 14 pockets—such as compartments for a laptop, tablet, RFID-protected items, and a waterproof side pocket. It also features a 3D padded back and breathable shoulder straps, which the brand says help reduce carrying pressure by about 67%, making it more comfortable when carrying heavier loads.

I personally love the large YKK zippers. It burly, large and easy to slide open. I wish more travel bags use these kinds of zipper. Another bonus thing is the expandability making this daily carry into a travel bag that can get you around 2 to 3 days of travel wardrobe (depending on how you pack and what you carry)

What I Liked

  • Versatile for commuting, travel, or even a quick overnight.
  • Solid material and zippers feel durable.
  • Thoughtful pocket layout helps keep your things organized.
  • Comfortable to carry, even when packed fuller.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Weighs around 1.2 kg (empty), so it’s not the lightest pack if you’re going minimalist.
  • Bag is kinda on the pricier side—usual price is $179, often on sale for ~$129. But you get what you pay for. Quality materials and lots of functionality.
