New Zune Features leaked!

Fry's Electronics store in Downers Grove, Illinois

Zune leaks are hot right now. Amazon advance listing of the 120gb last week, and now Frys.com listing the new Blue 8GB Zune ($150). See product listing

This New slim 8GB Zune®(blue/silver/black) device is good to go with plenty of room for your favorite music, pictures and video. It comes Complete with an FM tuner and buy from FM capabilities1, wireless sync2, Zune® to Zune® wireless sharing3, video playback and more, so you get all that Zune® power in one tight little package. Holds up to 2,000 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 25 hours of video.

The new features are cool, but I’m yet unsure if it will work outside the USA, particularly the Buy from FM (IMO this won’t work for obvious reasons) unless they record all songs streamed from your zune device, log it once you connect your zune to your PC and suggest songs you like. I wish the Games featured would be tightly integrated on the new firmware and software so that installing games would be easier than opening Microsoft XNA Game Studio and other complicated apps.

New Features

Buy from FM
Listen to your favorite FM radio stations and click to tag the songs you like for later purchase when you sync your device with your PC1.

Device to Cloud
Access thousands of wireless hotspots around the country to automatically update your collection, browse Zune Marketplace, refresh Channels, exchange favorites with friends, or buy songs you've tagged from your FM radio.

Channels
Zune® Channels are custom programming stations that deliver personalized playlists to your Zune® from a variety of sources you select, such as music experts, celebrities, or top radio stations.

Games
Games rock on your Zune®. Zune® Players now come with a selection of fun free games to choose from. Play the popular poker game Texas Hold'em or challenge yourself to a game of Hexic, and make sure you play your favorite song from your collection to create your own personal game soundtrack.

  2. Yeah, mukhang wala parin ata.. they said na hindi priority yun since they want to maximize the battery life of the new zunes, just like the issue on the refresh rate of the screen.

"On the Zune 30 the screen refreshes at 60 Hertz or 60 times a second. On the Zune 4, 8, and 80 the Zune screen only refreshes at 30 Hertz or 30 times a second. While the difference isn't that perceptible to users it saves battery life on the device."

  5. Yup meron silang tv out. If you want to upload dvdrips and stuff sownloaded from torrent the easy way, why not get a creative vision or archos instead? as far as i know they play xvid and divx right out of the box.

Mukang .wmv lang talga ang zune since it's a Windows video format, or if you want to upload dvdrips, you'll just have to reencode it again.

    Archos?? Anu gumawa nun??

Panget yung creative Vision.. masyadong bulky tapos yung bagong creative zen pati Xfi walang A/V out..
