Amazon’s Frustration-Free Packaging

amazonbasics

Unlike other retailers and companies, Amazon has taken an initiative to introduce Frustration-Free Packaging.  The Amazon Basics 32GB drive came in recently and it was just inside a small hard envelope rather than the usual hard plastic casings that are hard to pry open.

The Certified Frustration-Free Package (on the left) is recyclable and comes without excess packaging materials such as hard plastic clamshell casings, plastic bindings, and wire ties. It's designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife and will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging (on the right). Products with Frustration-Free Packaging can frequently be shipped in their own boxes, without an additional shipping box.

Unlike other buyer’s horror stories of companies sending out huge boxes for small items, this is Amazon’s way of making products easy-to-open, recyclable and environmentally friendly (light packages = low cost on fuel transportation = energy savings = greener earth). Thanks Amazon for the awesome 32GB drive and for saving the environment with your frustration-free packaging.
